This is a foundation course designed to equip you with the skills to begin experimenting and making natural fragrances with a degree of confidence.

Perfumery is both an art and a science , it is both creative and technical. Our time together will be divided between theory and practice with the aim of teaching you:

  • The history of natural perfume
  • The cultivation of olfaction
  • Structural rules for professional quality fragrances
  • Fragrance families
  • The blending of accords
  • Precise measuring to avoid wastage
  • Using spreadsheets for calculation and record keeping

The group size is limited so there will be enough time for individual attention, answering questions and group discussion.

Alec Lawless
